You have 30 days to return or exchange unused, unwashed styles with tags attached. Please find details on our policy below. We partner with ReturnGO, a trusted third party, to offer contactless returns and exchanges.

Return & Exchange Policy

  • We accept Returns and Exchanges up to 30 days from the date the order is placed on items in original, sellable condition with no signs of wear/damage and all original tags attached. Final sale items are non-refundable & non-exchangeable.

  • Returns and Exchanges typically take 7 to 10 business days to process after being received at our warehouse facility.

  • For all US returns, a flat rate cost for return shipping of $9.99 USD will be deducted from your refund for shipping, processing, and handling. For International shipping, the customer is responsible for custom fees and return shipping.

  • All US customer exchanges are free of charge and will be issued store exchange credit. 

  • 1822 Denim only allows 1 Exchange and 1 Return label per order.

  • All orders sent back for exchange will receive a store credit upon receipt to expedite faster delivery.

  • October 2023 Update: As part of the Holiday season beginning October 1st, 2023 to December 31, 2023, 1822 Denim will accept returns and exchanges up to 60 days from the date the order is placed. Please note that due to global shipping delays on the part of USPS and other carriers, returns may take longer to process than average.

1. Step 1: Verify that your product is eligible for a return/exchange:

    a. Item(s) must be in ORIGINAL, SELLABLE CONDITION with no signs of user damage (strong odors, holes, dirt) and must have all original tags attached to the garment.

    b. Item(s) must be clean and contain absolutely NO pet hair. (Evidence of dirt/mud stains or pet hair on the product will be considered used and the return will be rejected)

    c. All returns must be in original sellable condition, returns not meeting these guidelines will be rejected and products will be sent back at the customer's expense and may be subjected to a restocking fee per below. Customers have 15 business days from the date of rejected return notification to resolve return discrepancies.

        i Missing tags will incur a restocking fee of $5 per item returned.

        ii Soiled with dirt, dust, or pet hair will incur a restocking fee of $10 per item returned.

2.   Step 2: Send our products back to us:

    a. Go to our return portal here.

    b. To create a return, you must enter your original order number with the original email address used to purchase your items. You can find this information in your email confirmation or packing slip.

    c. You will receive an email with a pre-paid return label.

    d. Print the label, package your item, attach to the box, and drop off at any USPS drop off locations.

    e. Maintain a copy of your tracking number and paperwork for your records.

*1822 Denim does not accept incomplete Boxes returns, if you would like to return your Butter Box due to sizing issues or exchange, you are required to send back all 3 items to complete your return.

*1822 Denim reserves the right to refuse returns or increase the restocking fees based on conditions that fall outside of the above parameters.

*1822 Denim reserves the right to process a partial refund of half the item/order amount for all orders sent back that do not abide by the above policy.

To place a return, an order# must be provided, you can find this in the return slip that is included in your package. If the return slip has been lost, the order# can be located in the confirmation email that was sent at the time of purchase. You can also email us at customerservice@1822denim.com for further assistance.

If items were bought at independent boutiques or department stores, they must be returned to the location where they were purchased.

You will be refunded to your original form of payment. 1822 Denim does not refund shipping charges or package insurance paid by the customer. Gift cards, E-gift cards, and items marked as “Final Sale” are final sale items and cannot be returned or exchanged. For all questions regarding refunds please contact Customerservice@1822denim.com

If you received a product different from the one that you ordered, we sincerely apologize. Please contact us at customerservice@1822denim.com with your order number and a photo attachment of the incorrect merchandise and we’ll work on getting the issue resolved for you and ship the correct item.

If you received a damaged item, we sincerely apologize. Please contact us at customerservice@1822denim.com with your order number and a photo attachment of the damaged item and we’ll ship you a replacement.

Please note, at this time we do not offer free shipping for returns and exchanges for our international customers. You will be responsible for any shipping charges.

If the gift was purchased from our website, please email our customer service department at Customerservice@1822denim.com and we will help you with the return or exchange. If the gift was purchased from a different website other than ours or from an independent boutique or department store, please return it to the location where purchased.
