Return & Exchange
Need to make a return? You have 30 days to return or exchange unused, unwashed styles. We partner with Returnly, a trusted third-party, to offer contactless returns and exchanges.
1822 Denim is committed to 100% customer satisfaction and accepts returns up to 30 days from the date you place your order. Returns and Exchanges typically take 7 to 10 business days to process after being received at our warehouse facility. Please note that due to global shipping delays on the part of USPS and other carriers, returns may take longer to process than average.
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, then you may return it for a refund or exchange. Please note, that international returns and exchanges are not eligible for pre-paid labels or free exchanges. For all refunded returns, a flat rate cost for return shipping of $7.99 USD will be deducted from your refund for shipping, processing, and handling. US customer exchanges are free of charge and will be issued store exchange credit.
Step 1: Verify that your product is eligible for a return/exchange:
1. Item(s) must be in ORIGINAL, SELLABLE CONDITION with no signs of user damage (strong odors, holes, dirt) and must have all original tags attached to the garment.
2. Item(s) must be clean and contain absolutely NO pet hair. (Evidence of dirt/mud stains or pet hair on the product will be considered used).
Please note that all returns must be in original sellable condition, returns not meeting these guidelines will be subjected to a restocking fee for the following amounts and return conditions below:
- Missing tags will incur a restocking fee of $5 per item returned.
- Soiled with dirt, dust, or pet hair will incur a restocking fee of $10 per item returned.

Step 2: Send our products back to us:
1. Go to our return portal here.
2. To create a return, you must enter your original order number with the original email address used to purchase your items. You can find this information in your email notification or packing slip.
3. Package your item securely, make sure to include the necessary paperwork in your shipment.
4. Maintain a copy of your tracking number and paperwork for your records.
*1822 Denim reserves the right to refuse returns or increase the restocking fees based on conditions that fall outside of the above parameters.
*All orders sent back for exchange will receive a store credit upon receipt to expedite faster delivery.
To place a return, an order# must be provided, you can find this in the return slip that is included in your package. If the return slip has been lost, the order# can be located in the confirmation email that was sent at the time of purchase. You can also email us at email@example.com to provide you with your order#.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions all exchanges will receive store credit to ensure faster turn around time. Store credit will be issued upon receipt of your exchange back to our facility, you will be emailed a store credit code. This unique code can be used to place a new order for your exchange item.
If items were bought at independent boutiques or department stores, they must be returned to the location where they were purchased.
You will be refunded to your original form of payment. 1822 Denim does not refund shipping charges or package insurance paid by the customer. Gift cards, E-gift cards, and items marked as “Final Sale” are final sale items and cannot be returned or exchanged. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll help you place the return.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there may be delays in return & exchange processing.
We understand things don't always work out, so we offer a return policy of 30 days and 1 exchange per order. It can take 7-10 business days for your return/exchange credit to be processed. Due to covid-19 restrictions, this can take longer.
Please allow 7-10 business days after your return has been delivered back to us for a refund to be processed or an exchange credit to be issued.
Due to the spread of Covid-19 returns may take an additional 7 - 10 business days to process. We understand the frustration this may cause regarding your refunds exchanges. We are taking this necessary precaution to ensure the safety of our warehouse workers as they open and inspect returned items. We appreciate your patience with us during this time.
If you received a product different from the one that you ordered, we sincerely apologize. Please contact us at email@example.com with your order number and a photo attachment of the incorrect merchandise and we’ll work on getting the issue resolved for you and ship the correct item.
If you received a damaged item, we sincerely apologize. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and a photo attachment of the damaged item and we’ll ship you a replacement.
A flat rate cost for return shipping of USD $7.99 will be deducted from your refund for shipping, processing, and handling.
All U.S Exchanges are free of charge.

You will receive an email with a pre-paid return label.
Print the label, attach to the box, and drop off at any USPS drop off locations.
Option 2 – Return or exchange an item on your own
You can also send your return/exchange back to us at the address below, at your expense using any trackable carrier you desire.

Please allow 7-10 business days from the date of your return being delivered to us for a refund to be processed or an exchange credit to be issued. We will send you a return notification email to let you know once the return has been received and completed. We will refund you by way of your original payment method.

We are sorry but at this time we do not offer free shipping for returns and exchanges for our international customers. You will be responsible for any shipping charges.
We are sorry you didn’t love your 1822 Denim gift. If the gift was purchased from our website, please email our customer service department at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make sure to help you with the return or exchange.
If the gift was purchased from a different website other than ours or from an independent boutique or department store, please return it to the location where purchased.
If you purchased an item as part of a buy one get one (BOGO) promotion, the promotional discount is based on the lowest-priced item, then applied to each item proportionately. If you choose or need to return any of the items bought through the promotion, your refund will be reduced to reflect the discounted amount for each item.
This can be confusing, we know! See below for some examples in hopes we can clarify any questions you may have.
Buy One, Get One Free – If the first item is $60 and the second item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $24 and the $40 item will be discounted by $16, which in total offers a discount of $40. If either of these items is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by the prorated discount.
Buy One, Get One 50% Off – If the first item is $60 and the second item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $12 and the $40 item will be discounted by $8 which is a total offers a discount of $20.
If either of these items is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by the prorated discount.

*1822 Denim does not accept incomplete Butter Boxes, if you would like to return your Butter Box due to sizing issues or
exchange, you are required to send back all 3 items to complete your return.
*1822 Denim reserves the right to process a partial refund of half the item/order amount for all orders sent back that do not abide by the above policy.
