How do I place an online return or exchange?

We're sorry you didn't love your purchase! Please reach out to customerservice@1822denim.com with your order number and the products you'd like to exchange or return, and we'll take care of the rest.

Help! I can’t find my return slip!

Don’t worry—1822 Denim packages don’t include return slips. Just reach out to customerservice@1822denim.com and we’ll help you place your return or exchange.

What’s your return policy?

All returns must be processed within 30 days of receiving the order. Order # must be provided to place a return.

Return & Exchanges During COVID-19 Outbreak

All returns must be processed within 30 days of receiving the order. Order # must be provided to place a return. For safety of our warehouse workers, exchanges can not be processed at this time and store credit will be issued for all exchanges. Please read below for the policy on return conditions.

All items should be returned unworn and with original tags intact and undamaged. Please note that items with the following conditions will not be eligible for refunds or exchanges and will only be eligible for store credit minus a $5 restocking fee 

 

  • Items with pet hair 
  • Items with detached tags 
  • Items with strong odors  

 

Please include return form or copy of invoice and customs documents (if applicable) along with the items you would like to return. 

If items were bought at independent boutiques or department stores, they must be returned to the location where they were purchased.

You will be refunded in full to your original form of payment. Please note, gift cards, E-gift cards, and items marked as “Final Sale” are final sale items and cannot be returned or exchanged. Email us at customerservice@1822denim.com and we'll help you place the return.

How long does it take to process a return?

Please allow 2-3 weeks from the return ship date for your refund to be processed and your account to be credited.

Processing Time During COVID-19 Outbreak

Due to the spread of Covid-19 returns may take an additional 7 - 14 business days to process. We understand the frustration this may cause regarding your refunds exchanges. We are taking this necessary precaution to ensure the safety of our warehouse workers as they open and inspect returned items. We appreciate your patience with us during this time.

What should I do if I receive the wrong product?

If you received a product different from the one that you ordered, sorry about that! Please contact us at customerservice@1822denim.com and we’ll be sure to get you the 1822 Denim item you ordered!

What should I do If the item I receive is damaged?

If you received an item that is damaged, we sincerely apologize. Not to worry, email us at customerservice@1822denim.com and we will be sure to get you a new item asap.

 

What are the instructions for all returns or exchanges? It’s easy!

 

U.S. Customer Returns and Exchanges:

We are pleased to offer our customers free shipping for all returns and exchanges

Only one free return/exchange per order number.

 

Option 1 – Return or exchange an item with our prepaid return service

To begin your return/exchange please click on the “Make a Return” button found on this page and follow the instructions.

You will receive an email with a pre-paid return label.

Print the label, attach to the box, and drop off at any USPS drop off locations.

Option 2 – Return or exchange an item on your own

You can also send your return/exchange back to us at the address below, at your expense using any trackable carrier you desire.

Make sure to include with your return/exchange:

Invoice with order number

Your name and billing address

 

Please allow 2-3 weeks from the return ship date for your refund to be processed and your account to be credited. We will send you a return notification email to let you know once the return has been received and completed. We will refund you by way of your original payment method.

 

International Customer Returns and Exchanges:

If you are not satisfied with your international online purchase, not to worry!

Email us at customerservice@1822denim.com and we will be sure to help you with your return or exchange.

We are sorry but at this time we do not offer free shipping for returns and exchanges for our international customers. You will be responsible for any shipping charges.

How do I return an item that was a gift?

We are sorry you didn’t love your 1822 Denim gift. If the gift was purchased from our website, please email our customer service department at customerservice@1822denim.com and we will make sure to help you with the return or exchange.

If the gift was purchased from a different website other than ours or from an independent boutique or department store, please return to the location where purchased.

 

How does a refund work with Bogo promotion purchases?

If you purchased an item as part of a buy one get one (BOGO) promotion, the promotional discount is based on the lowest priced item, then applied to each item proportionately. If you choose or need to return any of the items bought through the promotion, your refund will be reduced to reflect the discounted amount for each item.

This can be confusing, we know! See below for some examples in hopes we can clarify any questions you may have.

 

Example 1:

Buy One, Get One Free – If the first item is $60 and the second item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $24 and the $40 item will be discounted by $16, which in total offers a discount of $40. If either of these items are returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by the prorated discount.

Example 2:

Buy One, Get One 50% Off – If the first item is $60 and the second item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $12 and the $40 item will be discounted by $8 which in total offers a discount of $20.

If either of these items are returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by the prorated discount.
